I am so excited to embark on a musical journey with you! My goal is to provide a supportive and open learning environment where you can discover the joy of music, develop your skills, and nurture your passion. This policy outlines how we can best work together to ensure a successful and fulfilling learning experience.
As your instructor, I am dedicated and promise to:
Creating a safe and encouraging space where you feel comfortable exploring your musical potential without judgment.
Equipping you with the technical knowledge and proficiency you need to excel, driven by a genuine love for music.
Providing clear and organized instruction that is tailored to your unique needs, interests, and learning style.
In the event of an unexpected lesson cancellation on my part, you will receive a refund for the cost of that missed lesson.
To make the most of your lessons, I ask that you:
Arrive on time for your scheduled lesson, ready to learn.
Develop and follow a consistent practice plan to reinforce what you learn and make steady progress.
Bring all necessary materials and music to each lesson.
Communicate openly with me about anything that might be affecting your ability to focus or prepare for lessons, whether it's related to home, school, or life in general. This helps me better understand your needs and support your musical growth.
I offer two flexible paths to suit your learning preferences:
This path provides a consistent weekly lesson schedule and predictable monthly payments.
30-minute lessons: $30 per lesson
Monthly cost: $120
45-minute lessons: $45 per lesson
Monthly cost: $180
60-minute lessons: $60 per lesson
Monthly cost: $240
A flat rate, prorated monthly tuition is charged on the 1st of each month, based on your chosen lesson length multiplied by a monthly average of four lessons per month. This fixed rate guarantees a minimum of 46 weeks of instruction.
This path offers more flexibility in scheduling and is ideal for students who may have variable schedules or prefer a pay-as-you-go approach. Below are estimates; the exact amount varies.
30-minute lessons: $35 per lesson
Estimated monthly cost: $140 (approx. 4 lessons per month)
45-minute lessons: $55 per lesson
Estimated monthly cost: $220 (approx. 4 lessons per month)
60-minute lessons: $70 per lesson
Estimated monthly cost: $280 (approx. 4 lessons per month)
Payment for the Coaching Path is charged on the 31st of each month, based on the actual number of lessons received that month, multiplied by your chosen lesson length's rate.
All payments are non-refundable, and a $15 late fee will be applied to any payments not received within 3 days of the posted charge.
If you decide to discontinue lessons, I kindly request a two-week notice via email before the start of the following month. This allows me to adjust my schedule and modify my lesson plans accordingly.
The teaching year is divided into three semesters:
Fall Semester: September - December
Spring Semester: January - May
Summer Semester: June - August
The studio schedule for the entire year will be posted approximately three weeks before the start of the Fall Semester. If you need to request a change to your regular lesson time, please communicate this at least two weeks before the desired change needs to go into effect.
If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to guarantee a makeup lesson.
You are eligible for two makeup lessons per semester. I will work with you to find a mutually convenient time for these makeups when they're available.
Enjoy the flexibility of unlimited rescheduling! We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we will work with you to find lesson times that fit your schedule
To help cover the costs of providing supplementary materials, printing sheet music, and purchasing method books, there is a $20 annual materials fee. This fee will be charged upon enrollment if joining in the middle of the academic year, with the first pay cycle at the beginning of the academic year (September).
Any changes to this studio policy will be announced one month before the start of each semester. This ensures you have ample time to review any updates.
I am thrilled to be a part of your musical journey! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
